One hundred and twenty-nine teachers served as respondents in this study and all of them was giving their full commitment in this regard. Data collected using questionnaires covered three areas, namely Part A (Demography), Part B (Stress) and Part C (Work Commitment). The collected data were analysed using descriptive statistics (mean and percentage) and inferential statistics (t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation). The study results indicated that work stress among year six teachers in the high performing school area was moderate, while the level of work satisfaction was high. The findings explain the stress level of teachers in six in four High Performance Schools in Johor Bahru how the average level of work and commitment of teachers is also on a moderate level. The mean and standard deviation for the overall stress level is 2.01 and 0.09 then the stress level of teachers are in the middle level are 128 peoples (99.2 percent) and at the high level is only one person (0.8 percent). However, the work commitment among teachers in four years and six high performance schools in the district based on the mean and standard deviation of the three-dimensional found that teacher commitment is at the medium level.
