Summary:The main purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between sustainable leadership practices of principals and the level of organizational commitment among teachers of government-aided religious schools (SABK) in the District of Pontian. The researchers choose the sustainable leadership because this leadership was founded by Hargreaves and Fink (2006 ) and specifically created for use in the educational arena and not taken or borrowed from any other theory The sample consisted of 136 teachers from three SABK. The pilot study was carried out on 40 teachers recorded the Alpha Cronbach 0.948. This study used quantitative methods with a Likert scale questionnaire instrument. The findings indicated that level sustainable leadership of principals in District of Pontian SABK at the high level with the mean score of 3.912, while the level of organizational commitment among teachers SABK are also at high levels with the mean score of 3.935. The findings also found significant differences in the level of commitment to the organization based on the gender of teachers and significant correlation between sustainable leadership practices of principals with the organizational commitment among teachers SABK in Pontian District . Implications and some recommendations for improvement in the practice of sustainable leadership for further research are also presented.
