Summary:In the current industrial world, safety is an inevitable issue for any organization that wants to be successful. That is why, every year a huge amount of money is invested in different companies in order to improve the safety aspects. To implement safety in a workplace, having enough information about critical factors, which are used for the assessment of safety requirements, is really necessary and important. This study focuses on finding the critical factors and their metrics via investigation on different articles and papers in the field of safety and also takes a look on Occupational Safety and Health Administration in order to get a comprehensive collection of factors which can be used for constructing or improving a suitable safety instruction for all kinds of companies in general. At the last part of this study a comparison among three companies is done by using ANP (Analytic network process) method which is done via super decision software to find the best company regarding to the criteria and metrics of safety which were already determined and also finding the priority of metrics regarding to each other, which can contribute to assess companies more effectively. The future work recommends that such a study can be developed by categorizing the companies based on their field of activities, in order to find the specialized safety factors related to their field and products, which can be used simultaneously with general factors.
