Summary:Learning is an important approach to human working capital development. In connection with learning process, it should be on going to non-formal learning and informal learning. This study aims to identify participation in non-formal and informal learning activities by police officers from IPD Seri Alam, Johor. 232 respondents were selected in this study to obtain data through questionnaires that have been developed. The data collected by the questionnaire is analysed using statistical package for social science software involving descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Studies found that the level of participation of police personnel from IPD Seri Alam, Johor is higher. Further research found that the learning environment is conducive and encouraging leaning. Police personnel recorded high level of self efficacy. As such, this study revealed that the learning environment and self-efficacy were significantly related to participation in learning activities. Studies suggested that the learning environment need to be improved to encourage participants’ involvement in learning activities. At the same time, self-efficacy efforts should focus among police personnel by PDRM.
