Summary: | Risk management is becoming more important in facilities management since this sector is related to conditions of uncertainty. Today, facilities managers faces many challenges to reduce losses due to disruption caused by facilities failure. Facilities risk management process provides a framework to identify the risks face by organization and suggest the most appropriate way to control it. The objective of this study is to identify the electricity risk factors at public buildings and provide an appropriate recommendations to reduce the risk from occurring. Qualitative information was collected through a series of group discussion consisting of experienced panels in the field of electrical engineering. The data then was analyzed using the risk management standard and the results shows that the level of risk is in the most critical position and can lead to disastrous. The results also showed the main contributor of electricity risk is the human factor itself in failing to perform proper maintenance work according to the procedure other than mechanical-electrical installations failure. Practically, this research could help building owners and facilities managers to formulate an action plan in mitigating the critical risks and achieving more satisfactory outcomes in their operations. |
