Summary: | The application of Information And Communications Technology (ICT) has been proven to have a vast potential and dynamic in teaching and learning of the Arabic Language. This research is to explore the use of ICT in terms of level of application, frequent usage and its effects on the teaching of Arabic Language. This research is also to identify how the respondent’s background effects their level of ICT application and at the same time to determine the correlation between the frequent use of ICT in learning Arabic Language and the repondent’s interest, interaction and achievement in the subject. The were 144 Form 4 students in two Religious Secondary Schools in Pahang were randomly selected as respondents for this research. A set of questionnaires modified from previous researches which constitutes 74 items was used as instrument to collect the data. The reliabilty value measured by Cronbach’s Alpha was within the acceptable level which is 0.933. The data was analysed descriptively using the mean, standard Deviation, T-test, one-way Anova and Pearson correlation. Findings show that respondents have a high level of knowledge in the ICT application. Background of the respondents showed that gender and the types of school influence the level of ICT usage in teaching. The research also reveales that there is a significant relationship between the level of ICT usage and the respondents interest as well their achievement in learning the Arabic Language. |
