Description
Summary:This descriptive study was conducted to survey the integrity of teachers in assessing students based on Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR) in Taman Universiti, Johor Bahru. The study was based on three objectives which are to identify the level of integrity of teachers in students assessment based on KSSR, identify the problems faced by teachers in the assessment and to identify efforts to improve the integrity of teachers in evaluating students. The sample of this study consisted of 135 primary school teachers in four schools around Taman Universiti. Results were analyzed using the application software Statistical Package For Social Science Version 21.0 (SPSS) . The results showed that the integrity of teachers in the student assessment based on KSSR is at a high level (mean = 4.04). However, the problems faced by teachers in the implementation of this assessment are also at a high level (mean = 3.98). Majority of teachers support that awareness of the importance of integrity and disclosure of integrity should be exposed to the teachers in order to improve integrity. Finally, the researchers put forward several suggestions for teachers, schools and future researchers to pursue further studies in the future.
