Nowadays, in line with the rapid change in the survey methodology, equipment that employs advanced technology such as Global Positioning System (GPS) have been widely used by surveyors. As such, author have adopted GPS with Rapid Static observation techniques and Real Time Kinematic (RTK) for determining the EDM base line distance at UTHM in putting up this Project Paper. The distance derived from the GPS observation will be compared with the original distance that had been derived from the pricise EDM equipment, that is LEICA TC2003 to assess the ability of using GPS and MyRTKnet in the work of revision of baseline EDM. However, from the analysis conducted shows GPS with Rapid Static and RTK observations using MyRTKnet not be used in the work of revision of baseline precision EDM for granted does not exceed the accuracy of the instrument to be calibrated.
