Summary:This study aims to examine the relationship of supportive communication climate and knowledge sharing in Hospital Sultanah Aminah. This study focuses on the six characteristics of supportive communication climate which are provisionalism, empathy, equality, spontaneity, problem orientation and description. This study used quantitative method to study the level of mentoring, supportive communication climate and knowledge sharing practices; study the relationship between supportive communication climate and knowledge sharing and also to study the supportive communication climate characteristic that most influence knowledge sharing among nurses in Hospital Sultanah Aminah. Data obtained from 322 respondents through questionnaires that distributed by representative matron to nurses in Hospital Sultanah Aminah. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 18.0. The findings of this study found that the level of mentoring, supportive communication climate and knowledge sharing practices are moderate. Other than that, there is weak positive relationship between supportive communication climate and knowledge sharing. Among the six characteristics of supportive communication climate, provisionalism is the characteristic which most influence knowledge sharing in the study location.
