Summary:This study was conducted to examine the relationship of burnout with organizational commitment. The objective of this study was to identify the level of burnout and organizational commitment among employees of the Department of Labour Johor. Three dimensions of burnout were emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal accomplishment was measured using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Organizational commitment was measured using the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ). The respondents consisted of 87 worker at the Department of Labour Johor. Data were collected and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis including mean and percentage. To see the different levels of burnout according to demographic, ANOVA and t-test was used. To measure the relationship Pearson correlation was used in this study. The results showed that the respondents had experienced a moderate level of burnout and a moderate level of organizational commitment. The results showed there was a significant relationship between burnout and organizational commitment. In addition, the results indicated that there was significant different of burnout in terms of age demographic respondents.
