ILA buildings and facilities require facility management (FM) to create a condusive environment to support the core business of the organization. Good facilities are a catalyst for the quality of education in an institution. Therefore, it is decisive to identify the right factors in contributing to the delivery of effective facility management services. One of the solutions was the identification of Critical Success Factors (CSFs) in Facilities Management. Three (3) objectives were identified which are: i) identifying the factors of successful management of facilities management, ii) defining CSF in facilities management implementation and iii) developing a relationship model for implementation management facilities. The scope of this study focuses on facility management in ILA only. The factors were identified through literature highlights and expert opinions. Expert opinions were obtained and analyzed using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) method. The results of the study, there are seven (7) success factors and three (3) critical success factors have been identified through literature review and ISM model. In addition, as a result of the stage of formulation of the ISM model through the process of repetition, there are two (2) main factors (driving factors) that need to be given emphasis and appropriate action, namely "Awareness and Commitment of Top Management" and "Policy and Strategic Planning". Therefore, the factors of “Awareness and Commitment of Top Management” and “Policy and Strategic Planning” were verified by the expert and proven in the previous literature are critical factors in facilities management. 2020 Thesis http://eprints.utm.my/id/eprint/96304/ http://eprints.utm.my/id/eprint/96304/1/FaridahAbdulRahimMFABU2020.pdf.pdf application/pdf en public http://dms.library.utm.my:8080/vital/access/manager/Repository/vital:143081 masters Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Faculty of Built Environment & Surveying
