Description
Summary:The study is intended to investigate the approach for the turnaround of turmoil GLC in Malaysia. The focus of this study is to explore the measure taken by turnaround managers to stabilise the company and improve the performance by examining measures taken during the processes. Semi structured, open-ended interviews were conducted to survey the data and analysed using the content analysis to determine the factors significant to the process. The human factor is the general finding, but in specific, self-interest and incompetency are two significant factors contributing to the turmoil. At the same time, competency, strategic planning, decision making, good governance, political influence and integrity were the findings of the turnaround process. All the listed factors are worthless should the factor of integrity is not present.
