This study was conducted at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) which involved postgraduate students. Previous studies suggested that demographic factors have an effect on the respondent’s emotional intelligence. A total of 350 questionnaires were distributed to the selected respondents. Out of the number, a total 125 responses were received. Several hypotheses were developed and tested with t-test and Pearson correlation analyses. The results indicated that gender did not have significant difference between gender and emotional intelligence of post graduate students. Meanwhile other demographic factors, age and ethnic group, indicated a significance relationship with emotional intelligence. Finally, several recommendations were proposed for future research. 2021 Thesis https://etd.uum.edu.my/10109/ https://etd.uum.edu.my/10109/1/permission%20to%20deposit-not%20allow-819242.pdf text eng staffonly https://etd.uum.edu.my/10109/2/s819242_01.pdf text eng staffonly https://etd.uum.edu.my/10109/3/s819242_02.pdf text eng staffonly other masters Universiti Utara Malaysia
