Description
Summary:The purpose of this study is to investigate the communication satisfaction in the military institution. The primary objective of the study is to measure the level of communication satisfaction and to identify the variables that have significant correlation with communication satisfaction. The respondents for this study are 243 soldiers from various rank (Ranks of File) from Ordnance Depot in Kedah, Perak and Kuala Lumpur. The instrument used for the study is adopted from a set of questionnaires developed by Downs & Hazen (1977 & 1993). The instrument used for this research is well known as 'Communication Satisfaction Questionnaires' (CSQ). The analysis of the data is done by using descriptive and inferential statistics. A significant positive relationship was found between independent variables and communication satisfaction. The findings revealed that independent variables were significantly correlated with communication satisfaction. The findings also shows that the level of communication satisfaction depended on the size and structure of the organization. Among the independent variables, communication skills is highly correlated with communication satisfaction. Communication skills with the largest beta value has the greatest influence on the dependent variable. The study also enable the Ordnance Corp to have its measurement on communication satisfaction. It is interesting to note that the demographical factor such as length of service has no correlation with communication satisfaction. The result of ANOVA test indicated that there is no significant different caused by the demographical factors on communication satisfaction.
