Description
Summary:The leadership that is the practice and guide of most school leaders, especially among YIK school leaders, is based on the Western leadership model. Educational practices are based on dualism and have an impact on the identiti of teachers in YIK which is the main pillar of Islamic educational development in Kelantan. Therefore, this study aims to examine the influence of Islamic leadership on the practice of Murabbi and Teacher Identiti among YIK leaders. The role of Murabbi practice as a mediator on the relationship of Islamic Leadership and Teacher Identiti is also examined. Quantitative study design based on cross-sectional survey involving 320 teachers in YIK schools The instruments used to measure the variables of this study were Islamic Leadership, Murabbi Practice and Aspects of Identiti Questionnaire (AIQ-IV) Quantitative data were analyzed by statistical analysis of t-test, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), correlation and multiple regression analysis using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). Islamic leadership was found to have a significant relationship with Murabbi practices and teacher Identiti. The dimension of Amanah and Islah Tajdid in Islamic leadership is the most influential dimension of murrabi practice and the identiti of YIK teachers. Murabbi practices were found to play a role in influencing the relationship of Islamic leadership with Teacher Identiti in YIK. These findings prove that the improvement of quality and understanding in Islamic leadership can enhance the practice of Murabbi and the identiti of teachers in YIK schools. Through increasing teachers' understanding of the practice of murabbi will be able to increase the effectiveness of the relationship between Islamic leadership and teacher Identiti. In this regard, YIK schools will be able to increase their effectiveness and high achievement through the strengthening of Islamic leadership practices and at the same time promote the practice of murabbi to ensure the improvement of teacher identiti which is the core of school excellence in YIK.
