Summary:This is a research to study the effect of cooperative learning on students achievements. In this research, students achievement divided in to academic achievement and social achievement. In terms of social achievement, the study focus on interpersonal skills and self esteem of students. Focus of the study is on form one students who are learning science in English. The study is conducted in a school in Ipoh, Perak. The school is chosen because the researcher is teaching in this school. This will help the researcher to conduct the teaching of cooperative learning on students of her class. There are five modules in this cooperative teaching. This study involved seventy students from two classes. The students of first class consists of good academic students. Where’s the second class, consists of students from average to weak in academic. The study shows cooperative learning increase the students achievement in academic, interpersonal skill and self esteem. The study shows that, the quiz results is not significant. In contrast, pre and post test shows a significant result in increasing the students achievement in academic. This study also give a significant results in increasing the students achievement in interpersonal skill and self esteem. Concurrently, this research also study the interpersonal skill and self esteem of students groups. The result shows that cooperative learning increase the groups achievement in interpersonal skill and self esteem.
