construction sector is among the riskiest in the world. This sector is among the riskiest
in the world. This study aims to identify the relationship between safety climate and
safety performance in Malaysia’s construction industry which include of management
commitment and employees’ involvement in health and safety, safety enforcement and
promotion, applicability of safety rules and safe work practices and safety consciousness and responsibility. Construction personnel across Malaysia were given a series of questionnaires to complete in order to collect data for this study. The study employed the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 28.0 software to assess the acceptability of the hypotheses that were specifically designed for the investigation. The findings resulted in there is a positive relationship between management commitment and employees’ involvement in health and safety and safety compliance, management commitment and employees’ involvement in health and safety and safety participation, safety enforcement and promotion and safety compliance, safety enforcement and promotion and safety participation, applicability of safety rules and safe work practices and safety compliance, applicability of safety rules and safe work practices and safety participation, safety consciousness and responsibility and safety compliance and safety consciousness and responsibility and safety participation. All the independent variables influence the dependent variables (safety compliance and safety participation). |
