Many parties have been involved in the peace process including mediators and relevant international parties. However, efforts to reach a complete solution are still deadlocked. This research has been designed to fulfill three main objectives which are to identify the structure and development of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, to examine the challenges of diplomacy in the management of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and to examine the effectiveness of the mediator's role in the 1993 Oslo Agreement. This research has used a qualitative approach by analyzing data from secondary sources through elite interviews as well as official sources of governments and international organizations, and secondary sources, in the form of books, journals, and online sources related to the Palestinian- Israeli conflict. Content analysis methods were used to analyze both types of research sources. In order to understand this conflict in depth, the Conflict Management Flow (CMF) approach and the Conflict Management Procedure (CMP) have been used to answer the objective regarding the mediator's direct actions having a major impact on Palestine and Israel and the overall implications that pave the way for further peace efforts. The results of the study have shown that mediators play a critical role in the negotiation process of the 1993 Oslo Peace Agreement. The previous diplomatic efforts that did not achieve full success give an important indication to continue looking for an appropriate approach, such as a Two-State Solution or a One-State Approach in dealing with the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. This protracted Israel. The findings of the study have also identified alternative approaches to the Palestinian- Israeli conflict and the importance of adapting different approaches according to the transformation of the conflict. The peace process needs to continue to find a suitable solution, because peace is a dynamic process and does not achieve static perfection. The study also found that reconciliation efforts in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict involve various parties, countries and international institutions that contribute significantly to the understanding of this conflict. The combination of conflict analysis and peace process approaches opens the way for a better understanding and smooth implementation of the peace process. 2024 Thesis https://etd.uum.edu.my/11238/ https://etd.uum.edu.my/11238/1/permission%20to%20deposit-not%20allow-s95430_0001.pdf text eng staffonly https://etd.uum.edu.my/11238/2/s95430_01.pdf text eng 2027-06-16 staffonly https://etd.uum.edu.my/11238/3/s95430_02.pdf text eng staffonly other doctoral Universiti Utara Malaysia
