Summary: | The objective of this study is to ascertain that the decision to purchase craft products by the local and foreign visitors to Kompleks Kraf Kuala Lumpur is influenced by price factors and quality of the product, different purchase decision by the local and foreign visitor, male and female visitors and aggregate income factors. The questionnaires on the decisions to buy crafts among the visitors to Kompleks Kraf Kuala Lumpur are formulated as instruments in the study and there are a total of 18 items involved. Hundred and fourty seven (147) respondents were selected to be part of the study. Out of that figure 79 respondents consist of local visitors while 68 respondents were foreign visitors. The result obtain from the study indicate that on average about 66.7% of purchases carried out were influenced or based on quality, 24% influenced by pricing factor and 8.8% on other factors. The analysis showed that there are no difference in decision to purchase based on price and quality of the craft products among the local and foreign visitors. On the other hand, differences do exist in the decisions to buy based on price and
quality of the craft products among the male and female visitors. Based on aggregate income of the respondents, the findings conclude that there are difference in the
purchasing pattern as a whole and based on price factor of the craft products but there are no difference in the decision to purchase based on quality. |
