Summary:The main purpose of the study is to identify the relationships between Locus of Control and ethical decisions making among Medical Officers who provider services at Emergency Dept. of Hospital Zon Utara. This study also tried to find the relationship between these two variables based on demographic variables. Next, this research also tried to identified the different between demographic variables based on these two variables and also tried to identified the different between the score locus of control among respondents. The end of this analysis, researcher finds that one of the score of the levels locus of control influence score of levels of ethical decision making among respondents. This study has been carried out at four states, which are Kedah, Perlis, Perak and Pulau Pinang. About 150 questionnaires have been distributed to research locations. However only 109 questionnaires were successfully collected. The data collected were then analysed with Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) software. The results found that significant relationships between average and high score levels of Locus of Control with score levels of ethical decisions making among Medical Officers. According to analysis, the results found that demographic variables have influenced the relationships between these two variables. Meanwhile, based on differences analysis show us not all the demographic variables has significant different with these two variables. But according to respondents, the ability to make more ethical decisions making will help them to minima the ethical issue such as over-treatment, withholding and withdrawing at a workplace. Based on the finding of this study, few suggestions have been recommended for the medical profession, Kementerian Kesihatan Negeri - Human Resource Dept., Universiti Utara Malaysia and future researchers.
