Summary:The effects of sports management in secondary schools has long been the subject of debate. Efforts to examine the effects of sports management in secondary schools have reported correlation between the administrator, teachers and the students. The purpose of this study is to find the information and to identify whether there is a significant correlation between the factors such as the schools sports programing, students involvement, sports facilities, leadership and staffing with the effectiveness of the sports management in Perlis secondary school. Demografic factors like gender, age, academic qualification, year of service as a teacher, course exposure and involement as a comitee members of school co-curricular activities were use to see the relationship. Population of the study consits of Perlis secondary school teachers. A total of 276 teachers were chosen as a sample. A questionaire was use as a study instrument to test about the effectiveness of sports management in Perlis secondary school. The data that was colected from the questionaire and analyse by using Statistical Packages For The Sosial Sciences(SPSS), 7.5 edition showed that there was a positif relationship between school sports programming, students involvement, sports facilities, leadership and staffing with the effectiveness of sports management in the school. However when the mean and standard deviation is compared among the factors, findings showed that leadership is the main factor that effects the school sports management. The second factor was student involement followed by staffing, facilities and programming. The test of correlation showed that there is a positive corelation among the factors that was use to determined the effectiveness of the school sports management.
