Summary:This is a study on communication satisfaction among employees in Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM). Among others, the purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between dimensions in communication satisfaction and job satisfaction. A numbers 133 employees were selected as respondent from three level of scheme, of which represented the managerial and professional scheme, service support I and II. Data were obtained through a set of self administered communication satisfaction questionnaire which was adapted from Down’s communication satisfaction questionnaire (CSQ). Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Results indicated that, first there was an expli relationship positive relationship between communication satisfaction and employees job satisfaction. Second, the level of communication satisfaction among majority of the respondent are moderate on the communication practices. Thirdly, there are no significant different between demographic factors with communication satisfaction. Fourth, study also revealed that there are diient influences among factors of communication satisfaction dimensions with dimensions of job satisfaction. The major finding of this study was the impacts of relational-informational dimension are greater than informational dimensions and relational dimension toward the level of job satisfaction. Result of the study shows that the three dimensions of communication satisfaction explained 50 percents of job satisfaction. The nine factors in communication satisfaction, the predictors of job satisfaction are supervisory communications, information quality, Interdepartmental communication and information on organizational perspective. Based on the finding, it is recommended that LKIM should increased their effort toward channeling quality information and effective two ways communication in their communication process Effective feedback should also be practiced. This will helps to further improved work process and indirectly increased employee’s productivity. Considerations should also be made in involving employee’s participation in crafting organizational strategic planning and its implementation.
