Employment Diversified workforce will have a different employee profiles with different benefit needs. As the result of that, customized pay packages or flexible benefits scheme will be the best solutions to increase the collaboration between employer and employee in designing the total rewards. Thus, the objectives of this study were to identify the relationship between fixed and flexible benefits plans and benefits satisfaction. The study also was identifying the relationship between fixed and flexible benefit items and benefits satisfaction. Finally to identify which benefit items are preferred by the employees if they choose for flexible benefits plan. The study also hypothesised that there are significant differences in the fixed benefits and flexible benefits with four (4) benefits satisfaction items - pay level, raises level, benefits level and administration and structure level; and there is a dominant factor influencing benefits satisfaction in the organisation. The questionnaire's items were adopted from Pay Satisfaction Survey Items by Heneman and Schwab's (1985). A total of 192 respondents were randomly selected as the sample of study and data was analysed by "Statistical Package for Social Science" (SPSS Window) Version 12.0. The tests involved are Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Multiple Regression and T-test. The findings of the study show that majority of the respondents are 39 years old and below. Moreover, 43.8 percent of the respondents have been working with Celcom Axiata Berhad for less than 5 years. The results of types of benefits and benefits satisfaction supported the hypothesis. Fixed benefits plan demonstrates the strongest relationship with benefits satisfaction. These findings showed that the employees in Celcom Axiata Berhad were more satisfy with fixed benefits plan rather than flexible benefits plan. 2010 Thesis https://etd.uum.edu.my/2610/ https://etd.uum.edu.my/2610/1/Zurina_Omar.pdf application/pdf eng validuser http://lintas.uum.edu.my:8080/elmu/index.jsp?module=webopac-l&action=fullDisplayRetriever.jsp&szMaterialNo=0000767947 masters masters Universiti Utara Malaysia
