Summary:This study aims to identify the influence of leadership style on creativity among Administrative & Diplomatic Service (PTD) officers of the ministries/departments in Putrajaya. Three organizations involved are the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, Prime Minister Department and Public Service Department. The perception of leadership styles were measured using Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) by Bass and Avolio (1995, 2004), which contains three items which are Transformational Leadership Style, Transactional Leadership Style and Laissez-Faire Leadership Style. The creativity of employees was measured using the instruments constructed by Zhou and George (2001). Data collected using questionnaires. A total of 103 respondents consisting of M41 and M44 PTD officers involved in this study. The data collected were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 17. Four statistical types of analysis performed which is Pearson Correlation analysis to see the relationshjp between the variables studied and the Multiple Regression analysis to see the influence between factors involved with the creativity of employees. T test and ANOVA were performed to see the difference level of employee creativity based on demographic factors. Results of the analysis carried out shows the three leadership styles do not have a significant relationship with the creativity of employees. All leadership styles tested in this study have negative relationship with employee creativity except laissez-faire leadership style which has positive relationship. The study also found that all three leadership styles did not significantly influence the creativity of workers and there was no different level of employee creativity based on demographic factors.
