If used effectively, it can contribute to the improvement of the student academic performance. However its utilization depends on many factors. These factors include demography, physical facilities, collections and their arrangements, staff, services and outside contributions. Based on these independent variables, a study was done in order to identify the relationship between the effect of the usage of the School Resource Centres and the improvement in the academic performance of the Form Six students in secondary schools in the District of Pasir Puteh, Kelantan. A total of 540 sets of questionnaires was distributed to the respondents comprising of students, teachers, and clerks. 525 questionnaires were distributed to Form Six students at five secondary schools in the district, and another 15 questionnaires were distributed to teachers and clerks at the five School Resource Centres. 452 responses were received, of which 437 were from students, 10 from teachers and 5 from clerks of the resource centres. The data collected were analyzed by using the Descriptive Analysis, t-Test, One Way Anova-Duncan test, Coefficient Correlation, and Multiple Regression Test. The result of the study showed that School Resource Centres played a very important role in improving teaching and learning.
