Summary:This thesis aimed to study the work attitude factors of graduates and their effects to graduate employment. This thesis uses a sample of 441 graduates of Universiti Utara Malaysia who are graduated with various types of degree on year 2010. In this study, it is found that the work attitudes of graduates are crucial factors on their employment status. Results of estimated Ordinal Logit Regression Model also reveal that the work attitudes of it is dependency to government for provide jobs for the university graduates, willing to work in other requires frequent travel, willing to work with job that does not commensurate with university qualification and willing to be entrepreneur, have significant influences on graduate employment in Malaysia. In particular, the right work attitude gives positive effect on employment status. The policy implications such as policy to educate graduate to be more independent on their job search, are also presented in this thesis.
