Summary:This study evaluated the level of job satisfaction and job performance among employees in the forwarding agent at Customs Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah. This study also want to evaluate the relationship between the dimensions of job satisfaction and job performance as well as identifying important dimensions that influence their job satisfaction. Respondents in this study comprised of 80 forwarding agents are working in Bukit Kayu Hitam Customs, which represents nearly 38 logistics companies in the vicinity. The data was analyzed using the software " Statistical Packages for Social Science " version 20.0 . The data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires and survey tool based Job Descriptive Index ( JDI ) was used. Descriptive analysis techniques used to evaluate the performance of job satisfaction based on the demographics of the respondents. While the inferential analysis ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple regression was used to test hypotheses formed. The results showed that there was no difference between the performance of the work based on demographic factors. In addition, there was also a significant relationship between the dimensions of job satisfaction on job performance. The study also found that job satisfaction influence job performance by 47.1 %. In conclusion, this study found that the dimensions of job satisfaction can influence job performance among forwarding agents.
