Multimedia technology should be utilized to generate useful products. Interactive multimedia elements like text, audio, video, graphic and animation powerful tools which can make teaching and learning more interesting by employing various human senses. Educational approaches and theories should be used in designing effective multimedia courseware to ensure that it can increase the quality of teaching and learning. Therefore, this case study aims to determine the level of readiness and effectiveness of utilizing courseware in the teaching and learning process of Form 4 Physics on the topic 'Kinematic' in one of the schools in Selangor. A total of 85 students were selected from a Form 4A class and Form 4B class as the experimental group and control group respectively. Measurement of the effectiveness of the courseware has been done with a set of pre and post test experimental group and control group. The results showed that the level of readiness of students are still low and t-test results showed that there were differences between pre and post tests for the experimental group and control group in learning and teaching of physics. The study also shows that the use of courseware has positive impact on student achievement.
