description The main purpose of this research is to identify the relationship between work stress and work performance among teachers in secondary schools in Kota Marudu district. The research also investigated the diferences in work stress based on gender and duration of service. One hundred twenty teachers were selected randomly to participate in the study. This quantitative research used questionaire as the instrument. Overall, teachers work stress level is low. The t-test analysis showed that work stress was not significantly different based on gender. Findings also showed that work stress was not significantly different based on the duration of service. However, there is moderate strong relationship between work stress and work performance among secondary school teachers in Kota Marudu District
