description The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the management of Mathematics in Secondary Schools and the achievement of the subject in Malaysian Certificate of Education. The sample used in this study were The Head and The Secretary of The Mathematics Unit in all 20 schools in Kulim/Bandar Baharu District. The information regarding the management of Mathematics in all the schools involve were obtained through questionaires. This study sought to test the hyphotesis that there was no significance difference in the level of management of Mathematics in all three categories of school. However, analysis of the data gathered indicated that there was a significant difference between the level of management of Mathematics in all three categories of school studied. The finding showed that the level of Mathematics management was higher in high achieving schools if compared to the schools in other two categories. The study also indicated that 44.20% variation of passed in Mathematics could be predicted as a result of changes in mean value of the management of the subject.
