This circumstance happens due to several elements such as the strategy of the industry itself, complexity or stringency of government’s regulation as well as attitude shown by the stakeholders towards the usage of GMF. Although past studies indicated industry strategy, regulation and attitude are significant in influencing industry acceptance of GMF, there has been comparatively little research which examines the relationship between these variables. In order to fill this gap, a survey was conducted on 248 processed food industries throughout Malaysia in order to examine the relationship of industry strategy, regulation and attitude on industry acceptance of GMF. In regards to Pearson correlation, the acceptance of GMF in the Malaysian food industries inherently increased due to the implementation or support of proper strategy, systematic regulatory system and positive attitude’s feedback or response gained from the food manufacturers. Consequently, GMF acceptance among food industries contributed to the enhancement and development of Malaysia’s economy and performance.
