Summary:The purpose of this research is to access levels and factors pertaining to job satisfaction among the teachers of Senior Assistants for Students Affair (HEM). The research was done in daily classes secondary schools in the state of Perak Darul Ridzuan. The method of study used was a survey on sample that was chosen at random to measure variable variance. There were nine dependent variable factors used in this study. The factors were working conditions, salary conditions, promotion opportunities, observation mode, working colleagues, the overall occupation, intrinsic and extrinsic satisfactions and an overall satisfaction. Meanwhile the independent variable variance that were being studied included the age, sex, marital status, school grade, the location of the school, ethnic groups and working experiance. The data for this research were obtained from the JDI (Job Descriptive Index) and MSQ questionnaire (Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire) responded by 108 Senior Assistants for Students Affair in daily schools selected at random throughout Perak Darul Ridzuan. The data analysis for hipothesis were measured by using inference statistic which included frequency tabulation, percentage, mean, T-test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Duncan post-hoc test, Pearson Correlation and Multiple Regression. The result indicated that there were significant relationships in job promotion among the men and women respondents including the working conditions and also the research location. In one-way analysis variance (ANOVA) indicated significant relationships between promotion opportunities with the age of the respondent, married respondent have more intrinsic satisfaction compared to unmarried respondent. Concerning the ethnic groups there were significant differences in working conditions, salary, promotion opportunities, extrinsic satisfaction and working satisfaction. The non Malay respondants have lower satisfaction with regard to opportunities for promotion compared to the Malays. With the increasing level in working satisfaction among the Senior Assistants for Students Affair (HEM) will enable the administrators of the schools to produce brilliant and exellent students in curriculum, co-curriculum, students with principles of good behaviour to achieve the vision of the country.
