Summary:Training and development (T&D) is one the important efforts which has been done by to enhance the workers’ performance and fullfill the roles and objectives set by the organization. It can enhance the working skills, becoming more motivated, more productive, ignite the workers’ loyalty or morale, enhance relationship and build-up espirit de corp among subordinates, colleagues and the organization’s leaders. T&D is also able to increase the communication skills and effectiveness. Without enough and suitable T&D programs, the workers will be in stress due to lack of working ability. The managers, leadership problems will be encountered when they are unsure of their jurisdiction and the utilization of their power properly. To gather the opinions and personal views about T&D among workers in an organization, this study is being carried out among Senior Assistants in secondary school of two districts in Perak, namely Kerian and Larut-Matang-Selama, District. This study is a survey-based study. One set of questionnaire comprising five elements of T&D program is used. These elements are job satisfaction, authority, work planning, communications and work methods. From a total population of 99 Senior Assistants, 96 of the respondence successfully gave their response by answering the questions forwarded to them. The data from the study was analyzed by using quantitative statistical approach.
