Summary:This research is carried out in order to determine the importance of the relationship between human resource management practices and organizational culture for non-executive workers of Sime Tyres International (M) Sdn. Bhd. The objectives of this research are to determine the relationship between various factors such as pay, promotion, benefits, performance appraisal, physical working condition - training and development in human resource management practices and organizational culture. It is also to determine some factors in human resource management practices, which have a significant relationship with organizational culture. Moreover this research is also carried out to determine the relationship between human resource management practices and five dimensions in organizational culture, known as cultural management, disposition towards change, employee participation, goal clarity and identification with organization. Sample of this study were 240 non-executive employees from fourteen department in Sime Tyres International (M) Sdn Bhd. The finding of this research indicate a positive relationship between human resource management practices and organizational culture. Result shows significant relationship between pay, performance appraisal and, training and development and organizational culture. The results also exibit relationship between human resource management practices with cultural management, disposition towards change, employee participation, goal clarity and identification with organization. Based on these findings, few steps are being suggested to be taken to improve the organizational culture of the company. For example, to give more attention to the needs of the workers, improve working environment and to increase opportunities for promotions and salaries.
