The data obtained was analysed statistically using frequencies and percentage so as to describe the demographics factors influencing the students career aspirations. Factors taken into considerations were gender, streams of courses, parent’s occupations, parent’s education level, parent’s wages and peer group influences. Student’s competencies, interests and jobs they would indulge with were calculated using means and standard deviation. The three highest results obtained were noted so as to find out the three personality codes. There were six categories of personalities introduced by Holland such as realistic, investigative, artistic, social, and enterprising. Nine hypotheses were postulated for this study. They were analysed statistically using Pearson Product Moment’s correlation and also ANOVA. Results showed that there were no significant correlation between sex type, streams of courses, parent’s occupations, parent’s education level, parent’s wages with students’ career aspirations but there was a significant correlation of peer groups influence with students’ career aspirations. The students, personality code and the code for their ambitions were compared using Holland’s Occupational Inventory Code and appropriate grades were given using Wiggins Congruency Indexs. Study showed that the congruency level was below 4. 1999-04 Thesis https://etd.uum.edu.my/787/ https://etd.uum.edu.my/787/1/ZALINA_BT_AHMAD_ZAINUDDIN_-_Aspirasi_kerjaya_apelajar-pelajar_luar_bandar.pdf application/pdf eng validuser https://etd.uum.edu.my/787/2/1.ZALINA_BT_AHMAD_ZAINUDDIN_-_Aspirasi_kerjaya_apelajar-pelajar_luar_bandar.pdf application/pdf eng public masters masters Universiti Utara Malaysia
