總結: | Indonesian cyber space is extremely vulnerable to various threats. This phenomenon is evidenced by the increasing intensity and level of threats that threaten Indonesia's cyberspace and critical national infrastructure. This research sought to examine the securitization process of cyber security issues and threat in Indonesia. In particular, this research was conducted to analyse the Indonesian
government's view of cyber security as a non-traditional security threat; the Indonesian government's approach to address cyber threats; and to examine the extent to which the process of securitization was carried out by various actors representing the Indonesian government. This research adopted qualitative
approach, utilizing both primary and secondary sources such as interviews and library studies respectively. This study found that the securitization process by securitizing actors was carried out through the establishment of a special cyber body in Indonesia in 2017 namely, Badan Sandi dan Siber Negara (BSSN). The
establishment of BSSN has been proven successful in securing and protecting Indonesia's cyberspace, as evidenced by Indonesia's rising position in the 2018 Global Cyber security Index. The restructuring of the country's critical information infrastructure and various international cooperations and agreements with the other countries have also been undertaken by the BSSN. |
