Unfortunately, this incident, which did not happen for the first time, has shown alarming statistics every year. Knowledge and good practices of fire safety can reduce the risk and risk of disaster. The objective of this study was to evaluate the level of knowledge and level of fire safety practice among the staff of the Women and Children Hospital of Kuala Lumpur (HWKKKL), Malaysia. This study was conducted on 386 HWKKKL staff from various job categories via constructive questionnaires from 1st October 2019 to 15th October 2019. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25 through T-test, ANOVA, and Crosstabulation. The results showed that the majority respondent had (60.6%) scored 50 to 70 are for the knowledge parameter while for the practice parameter, 92.5% scored 80 and above. Demographic factors, Education (p = 0.018), Job position (p = 0.003) and Grade (p = 0.002) were significant to knowledge while work experience (0.008) was significant to staff practice. In conclusion, the staff knowledge level is at a moderate level while the practice level is at the average level.
