Summary:Educational environments around the world are undergoing rapid changes and improvements that have a control on the job performance of teachers. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of Emotional Intelligence of teachers in the selected secondary school in Perlis has its effect on job performance. A quantitative research approach was adopted to expand the researchers' scope to selected secondary school in Perlis in order to obtain as much data as possible. In Perlis, 272 teachers in 4 secondary schools were responding. Data were collected through an online questionnaire survey that were created via Google form, and the data shows that there is a connection between emotional intelligence and job performance that can influence secondary school teachers in Perlis. Therefore, these significant findings shed further lights on the theoretical and practical utility of the construct of emotional intelligence and job performance, proven to the fact that Emotional Intelligence is accountable for and could predict Job Performance. It is, believed that this study would bring benefits and further knowledge to practitioners.
