Summary:Based on statistics, sectors such as construction and manufacturing are categorized as the highest contributors to industrial accidents in Malaysia. The Malaysian Armed Forces is exempted from the scope of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994. However, there are occupational accidents including fatal accidents recorded in this sector. With an effective accident management system, the accidents can be reduced and awareness on safety and health in the workplace can be enhanced by all. This research aims to identify the effect of safety training, safety communication and organisation safety policy for effective accident management in Reserve Officer Training Unit (ROTU) Malaysian Public Universitiy. The research design of this study is descriptive and cross-sectional. The research method used is a quantitative study with a questionnaire to collect the data in ROTU. Respondents are comprised of instructors who work at ROTU. A total of 120 sets of questionnaires were distributed to obtain the data of this research and analysed using the software "Statistical Package for Social Science" (SPSS) Version 26.0 by Descriptive Analysis, Pearson Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis. The results show that there is a significant positive relationship between safety training, safety communication and organizational safety policy with effective accident management. These findings also show that safety training, security communications and organizational security policies are important role in determining the level of effectiveness of accident management in ROTU.
