Summary: | Safety management practices and safety performance play the vital role for safety culture development at the workplace. This study aims to investigate the relationship between safety management practices and safety performance. Using the self-administrative questionaire, this survey involved 155 respondens among the Institusi Latihan Jabatan Tenaga Manusia employees. Random sampling was applied for selection of respondents selecting and raw data was analyzed using Statistic package for social science (SPSS) version 26. Descriptive analysis shown that the level of safety management practice was high while safety performance among staff ILJTM at the moderate level. Analysis correlation and regression revealed that workers’ involvement, safety communication and feedback and safety rules and procedures have significant relationship. Thus, for implementing occupational safety prevention programme and safety culture activities, the employer needs to emphasize the element of workers’ involvement, safety communication and feedback and also safety rules and procedures for increasing safety performance among the employee at ILJTM. This study also discusses the finding of research, limitation of study and suggestion for future study. |
