Summary:The purpose of the study is to identify the problems or obstacles faced by the secondary school cooperatives in the Zone of Bangsar, Federal Territory, Kuala Lumpur. The focus of the study is factors that become the source of problems to the development of school cooperative. The specific consideration is the background of the respondent, demographic factors, factors that relate to the cooperative itself and problems of cooperative such as capital, cornpetion, regulation Act and services/products. Respondents consist of students who are members of the school cooperative. 370 sample taken from a total of 10,099 cooperative members. In the study, the questionaire; were used as the instrument to obtain information and responses needed. Four schools were selected for the study. The questions were divided into three sections. The first and second section contained the independent variables which consisted of 10 questions while in the third section contained the dependent variables consisted of 2 1 questions related to cooperative problems. The data analysis was made by using ANOVA. The result of the test showed that there is a significant relation between cooperative problems and the ability to understand and also the motivation from the teacher and the principle at the level of significance of p< 0.05. However it was found that there is no significant relation between cooperative problems and gender, age, race, household income, the number of family members and information of cooperative.
