Description
Summary:The revolution of technology has promoted various of enhancement in the work environment context and one of it being the adaptation of technology towards the execution of training. Particularly in the context for workers based or located at remotes location such as an offshore installation facility in the Terengganu waters. With the promotion and adaptation of such technology, computer-based training has been portrayed as an efficient, economical and way forwards of carrying out training for workers. This research has aimed to look into the variables of infrastructure, design and motivation which involved in a computer-based training toward its effectiveness with a qualitative approach of obtaining feedback from the end user who has experience the technology first-hand. With an applied descriptive qualitative analysis towards the feedback obtained in a systematic database, this research explores significant influence caused by IT infrastructure towards the effectiveness of computer-based training, also the influence affected by the training design towards the effectiveness of computer-based and finally, identifying the motivation driver towards an effectiveness of computer-based training. The research has established its findings that there is a significant effect formed by infrastructure, design and motivation towards the effectiveness of a computer-based training. With a thorough focus on the improvement which may be applied to better sustain the adaption of computer-based training for the population while serving as enhancement towards the body of knowledge.
