| Summary: | The primary objective of this study is to empirically determine the relationship between international trade (proxies by trade openness) and economic growth. Trade liberalization and globalization increased competition among country in business and trade have created the need for such research in order to produce better and compettive etrepreneur. This research was done using econometric method utilizing secondary data from year 1976 to year 2000.
From the previous studies, we know that international trade is important for economic growth. The result of the study show that trade openness is significant relation between economic growth with other factors such as foreign direct investment, saving and population. In addition, the results show that the effect of international trade on economic growth are similar across the Asian region.
The finding of this research show that opennes influence economic growth umong Asian country. Finally, the result provide evidence that policy makers especially in the developing country to give more attention to trude activities in order to increase economic growth. |
