Summary:The purposed of this study is to investigate form six students misconception towards the concept of chemical bonding. A questionnaire with a fifteen matching items and seventeen two-tier questions was administered to fifty students from three schools in Perak. Results showed that students had many misconceptions especially on properties of atoms which form metallic and covalent bonding, how covalent bonding was formed, the types of covalent bonding and polarity of bonding. Study presents some suggestions for teachers, curriculum developers and textbook authors to make students understand the subjects easier and to remediate their misconceptions.
