Based on that, the objectives in this study were: (I) To identify the factorsaffecting students to choose Yogyakartas Bimbel, in terms of (a) the teaching-learningquality; and (b) the environmental factors; (2) To identify the motivation of students fromoutside Java Island to study in Yogyakartas Bimbel; (3) To identify the correlationbetween: (a) the teaching learning quality; and (b) the environmental factors, andstudents' motivation to choose Yogyakartas Bimbel; (4) To examine if the teachinglearning quality and environmental factors playa significant role in students' motivationto choose Yogyakarta' s Bimbel. This study used a quantitative method usingquestionnaire as the instrument. The data obtained were analyzed using the descriptiveand the inferential statistics to answer the objectives of this study. The findings showedthat there were high percentage level of teaching-learning quality in Yogyakarta' s Bimbel(77.25%), environmental factors (71.13%), and students' motivation (72.62%) to chooseYogyakartas Bimbel. There was a relationship between teaching-learning quality andstudents' motivation to choose Bimbel in Yogyakarta (r = 0.67, p = 0.00). Next, therewas a relationship between environmental factors and students' motivation to chooseYogyakartas Bimbel (r = 0.61, p = 0.00). The study showed that the teaching-learningquality and environmental factors influence students' motivation to choose Yogyakarta' sBimbel (R = 0.70, R2 = 0.49). For recommendation, more research in the area of Bimbelis required, in order to enhance the understanding teaching-learning aspects of studentsbefore entering university.
