Instrumen kajian ini telahdiadaptasi daripada Leadership Practice Inventory (LPI) dan Model Readiness,Planning, Training, Implementation and Maintenance (RPTIM). Hasil dapatanmenunjukkan tahap kepimpinan transformansional guru besar (min = 3.96) dan tahappembangunan profesional guru prasekolah (min = 4.00) berada di tahap yang tinggi.Analisis Anova sehala menunjukkan tidak terdapat kesan utama antara faktor tahappendidikan guru: F (3,256) = .331, p = .80) dan faktor tempoh perkhidmatan guru: F(3,356) = .1.96, p = .12) terhadap tahap pembangunan profesional guru prasekolah.Analisis Korelasi Pearson menunjukkan hubungan signifikan yang positif antarakedua-dua pemboleh ubah (r=.68, p <.001). Keputusan analisis regresi pelbagaimembuktikan kepimpinan transformasional menyumbang sebanyak 47% kepadapembangunan profesional guru prasekolah. Manakala gabungan dimensi membolehkanorang lain bertindak dan mencabar proses / kelaziman [F (2, 257) = 110.370, p <.05]dengan nilai (R2 = .46) merupakan pengaruh utama terhadap pembangunan profesionalguru prasekolah. Kesimpulannya, kepimpinan transformasional guru besar terbuktidapat mempengaruhi pembangunan profesional guru prasekolah. Implikasi kajian inimenunjukkan kepimpinan transformasional merupakan gaya kepimpinan yang sangatsesuai untuk dipraktikkan oleh semua pemimpin sekolah bagi memastikan kualitipembangunan profesional guru dapat dipertingkatkan.
