Summary:In this study, the researcher examined the semantic concept of mudhari verbs(present tenses) in Surah An-Nisaa by analyzing 15 such verbs out of 134 verbscontained in the surah, which was selected because it has a high number of mudhariverbs. Content analysis and observations were used to examine the semantic conceptbased on the grammar and morphology of such verbs. Descriptive, analytical, andlibrary methods were also used to interpret and record the mudhari verbs. The studywas carried out by examining the irab function of verses, irab instrument, such asrafa, nasab, and jazam, and the use of such verbs. The constructive development ofmudhari verbs was also examined by focusing on zidah, nuqsan, islah, and sihat thathave a profound impact on such a development. Research findings showed thatmudhari verbs are the most common tense used in Surah An-Nisaa, as they relate topresent and future events. Also, the meaning of each verb varies depending on itssemantics based on the context of speech. In conclusion, the analyses performed inthis study highlighted the pervasive use of mudhari verbs in Surah An-Nisaa. Thefindings suggest that grammatical and morphological analyses are essential tounderstand the semantic role of the mudhari verbs in Koranic verses throughout allchapters of the Holy Koran.
