Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa ibu bapa mendefinisikan peranti mudah alih sebagai satubentuk hiburan yang berteknologi dan memberikan keseronokkan kepada kanak-kanak. Penggunaan perantimudah alih ini memberikan kesan dan menjejaskan perkembangan tingkah laku kanak-kanak. Kajian inimendapati bahawa ibu bapa memahami ciri-ciri kanak-kanak yang bertingkah laku sedentari. Kekanganmasa yang berpunca daripada ibu bapa yang membenarkan kanak-kanak menggunakan peranti mudahalih adalah faktor yang menghalang proses perkembangan kanak-kanak daripada berlaku. Dapatankajian juga menunjukkan bahawa penggunaan peranti mudah alih memberi kesan terhadaptingkah laku iaitu wujud tingkah laku sedentari dalam kalangan kanak-kanak. Namun,tingkah laku sedentari tersebut tidak menjejaskan hubungan baik secara individu antara ibu bapadan kanak-kanak. Tempoh masa penggunaan peranti mudah alih juga menjejaskan tingkah lakukanak-kanak akibat penggunaan yang berlebihan. Secara kesimpulannya, penggunaan peranti mudahalih memberi implikasi kepada tingkah laku sedentarikanak-kanak secara langsung dan tidak langsung.
