Instrumen kajian terdiridaripada satu set soal selidik. Sampel kajian seramai 248 guru telah dipilih secara rawakmudah daripada 700 orang guru sekolah menengah daripada zon 6 di Daerah Kinta Utara,Perak. Instrumen kajian telah disahkan oleh tiga orang pakar dan nilai kebolehpercayaan instrumen adalah tinggi berdasarkan pekali Alfa Cronbach = 0.95. Statistikdeskriptif dan inferens seperti kekerapan, peratusan, min, sisihan piawai, korelasiPearson, ujian-t dan ANOVA telah digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Dapatan kajianmenunjukkan bahawa guru percaya (M = 3.87; SP = 0.82) mereka mengamalkan kepemimpinanguru yang baik.
