Seramai 73 orang atlet taekwondo (lelaki n=45; perempuan n=28) dari Persatuan Taekwondo Negeri Kedah telah dipilih dengan menggunakan pensampelan rawak mudah terlibat dalam kajian ini. Innstrumen soal selidik yang digunakan dalam kajian ini iaitu Test of Performance Strategy (TOPS) yang telah dibangunkan oleh Hardy et al. yang mempunyai sembilan (9) subskala dan 36 item. Kebolehpercayaan soal selidik ini menggunakan pekali Cronbach Alpha dengan julat = 0.77 dan = 0.88. Data empirikal kajian telah dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferens seperti kekerapan, peratusan, min, sisihan piawai, korelasi Pearson dan MANOVA. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan konstruk strategi psikologi yang paling tinggi adalah penetapan matlamat (min = 15.07; SP = 3.02), diikuti oleh imageri (min =14.83; SP = 3.57), pengaktifan (min =14.74; SP = 2.62), relaksasi (min =14.70; SP = 2.60), kawalan kendiri (min = 14.06; SP = 2.97), dan kawalan emosi (min = 12.37; SP = 2.77). Hubungan antara konstruk pula mendapati hubungan signifikan antara aspek prestasi dengan pembolehubah umur semasa pertandingan dengan kawalan kendiri (r= 0.27, p<0.05), kawalan emosi (r= -0.23, p<0.05), penetapan matlamat (r=0.37, p<0.05), imageri (r= 0.26, p<0.05), pengaktifan (r= 0.29, p<0.05), dan relaksasi (r= 0.29, p<0.05). Berdasarkan umur pula, atlet cenderung menggunakan aspek prestasi relaksasi, imageri, dan pengaktifan semasa pertandingan. Dapatan kajian berkaitan hubungan prestasi dengan jantina menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan signifikan dua aspek prestasi antara lelaki dan perempuan iaitu relaksasi (p = .004) dan pengaktifan (p = .000) pada tahap signifikan p<0.05 berdasarkan nilai Bonferroni adjusted. Kesimpulannya, tiga aspek prestasi iaitu relaksasi, kawalan kendiri dan kawalan emosi perlu diberi perhatian oleh atlet taekwando serta jurulatih semasa melaksanakan program latihan dan pertandingan. Implikasi kajian menunjukkan strategi psikologi atlet taekwondo perlu diperkasakan terutama dalam aspek relaksasi, imageri, penetapan matlamat, dan pengaktifan untuk menghasilkan kejayaan dalam sukan taekwondo.</p>
